Social Support and General Information Service

Since the closure of the Linkworker Service of Manchester City Council in April 2011. CHIC continues to provide support and help to members from the local community.

Every Wednesday from 10am-12.30pm, an experienced volunteer Alan Ho has been recruited to provide social and general information support services including social benefits, migration, education, utility bills to the Chinese population in Manchester and the North West Region.

No appointment needed, first come first serve basis. So far the service has benefited 46 people among whom 50% needed help for social benefits.
