On the evening of 28th September 2011, Kidney Stones & Surgeries health talk was held in Little Yang Sing Restaurant. Dr. Way Man Chow, Consultant of Urology was invited to present the talk in Cantonese. The aim of the health talk is to raise awareness of kidney stones and surgeries to the community members. He explained in great detail in the causes, the sign and symptoms, treatment and prevention of kidney stones. This also gave the audience an opportunity to ask questions and get satisfying answers. Overall 27 people attended.

On the evening of 9th September 2011, a ‘Tuberculosis Awareness’ health talk was held in Little Yang Sing Restaurant. Shirley He, the Nurse Operational Manager of Chinese Health Information Centre presented the talk in Cantonese. She explained in great detail the signs and symptoms, causes, prevention, treatment, consequences and various types of tuberculosis. This talk was to raise awareness of tuberculosis among the Chinese population. She highlighted it is one of the current health issues and that the incidence rate of tuberculosis has increased particularly among the ethnic minority groups. Overall 23 people attended the talk.
