‘NHS Bowel Screening’ health talk on 22-05-2012, 45 people attended.

CHIC and Tung Sing jointly organized the NHS Bowel Screening health talk in Tung Sing Housing Association. Tara Davis, the Health Co-ordinator from Manchester NHS was invited to present the talk. She explained the aims and to encourage people over 60 to come for the NHS Screening when they received the letter. Tara demonstrated how to use the bowel test kit. At the same time she explained the signs of symptoms of bowel cancer in English.

She reminded everyone that if their bowel habits were different than it usually was, they should see their GP. The Nurse Operations Manager, Shirley He interpreted the talk in Cantonese for the audience. Maintaining a balanced lifestyle and exercise were encouraged. Overall 45 people attended the talk.
