Tips to Prevent Constipation

Shirley He, the Nurse Operations Manager of CHIC gave the talk in Cantonese. She explained the causes, signs and symptoms and prevention of constipation. Shirley stressed that everyone should drink 8 glasses of water, have at least 5 portions of fruits and vegetables and fibre in their diet and exercise to prevent constipation. If participants notice of any changes in their bowel habits and find blood in their stools, they need to see their GP immediately.

是日,由中心林姑娘主講。她用廣東話講解便秘的原因、症狀及如何預防。林姑娘鼓勵每天飲八杯水、最少吃五份蔬果、多食高纖維素及多做運動可幫助預防便秘。她提醒如果注意到大便習惯有任何不尋常的改便或有血,應立即諮詢家庭醫生。
