Walking To Health: Boggart Hole Clough Park on 24th June 2014 , 27 people took part.
It was a warm and dry day, a group of 27 people from the local Chinese community in Manchester was led by CHIC staff and volunteers to have a health walk to Boggart Hole Clough Park. The group thoroughly enjoyed the walk. Some of them were first time participants.

This was meeting was facilitated by the Community Organizer Pollyanna Steiner and a Cantonese interpreter was used. The purpose of the forum group was to collect information from the members of the local Chinese community in Manchester in response to the issues raised with Councillor Peel. These issues include the parking limit in Chinatown, installing benches in the Arndale Centre and the Gardening project. This is to make preparations to meet Councillor Kevin Peel and his colleague from the High Way Department. 28 participants (7 male, 21 female) actively involved and gave their input.
2014年6月13日,在中心進行焦點小組商討會,由社區組織者-寶莉安娜主持並由一位廣東話傳譯員即場傳譯.主要目的是收集資料和意見關於改善唐人街泊車時間及泊車收費,在市中心的商場裡那裡安裝供人坐的長椅以及園藝計劃. 預備下次與市政府議員開時討論. 共有28人踴躍參加此項活動.

A team of 40 Tai Chi Masters from Guangzhou Elderly Welfare Development Association in China led by Director Peng Ding, visited Manchester on 11th June 2014. They demonstrated the traditional Chen’s Style Tai Chi, Chi Kong and Tai Chi Fan Dance at Albert Square, Manchester Town Hall. This was followed by the a demonstration of how to do simple strokes of Tai Chi by Master Li Ming. The Tai Chi Classes of the Chinese Health Information Centre (CHIC) and members from the local Chinese community were invited to take part. Passers-by were invited to join in. The main aims were manifold including promoting better health, better living and better life, enhancing the cultural exchange between Britain and China and promoting the physical and mental health benefits of Tai Chi. The event was organized by Li Ming the Tai Chi Master from Manchester. Verbal feedback from participants was very encouraging with all reporting that they had a wonderful time.
中心的長者太極班被邀請參與由曼城太極師傳黎明於2014年6月11日組織的中英華人長者太極健康文化交流活動. 是日上午在曼城市政廳門前的艾伯特廣場,先由彭鼎主任領導來自中國廣洲市的老年人公益發展協會的長者們示範精采優美傳統陳氏太極拳及太極扇舞. 之後由岳黎明師傅即場展示如何耍太極. 吸引許多旁人觀看並加入一齊耍太極. 這次活動主要是推廣心身健康,推廣耍太極的各種健康益處及促進中英文化.
