The talk was given by General Practitioner Dr. Chung Tai Chiu. He explained in fluent Cantonese the routes of transmission of hepatitis B virus and how to prevent HBV. He said that it was vital to avoid sharing needles and razors with others, having safe sex protection and avoiding blood contamination. He also encouraged to have HBV testing and vaccination against HBV for people among the high risk groups. Afterwards, the audience had a one to one consultation with Dr. Chiu.

是睌，由家庭醫生趙頌泰醫生用流利廣東話講解乙型肝炎病毒(HBV)的傳播途徑，有關乙型肝炎病毒的症狀、治療及如何預防(HBV)包括不要與人共用的針筒噐材、剃髮刀、及要採用安全性行為及避免接觸血液。趙醫生還鼓勵高危群人仕應要注射乙型肝炎病毒疫苗。講座完畢趙醫生提供一對一健康諮詢給聽眾。

The talk was given by Joy Worth, a Senior Dietician from Manchester Diabetes Centre. Joy explained in detail the risk factors, signs and symptoms, complications, treatment and prevention of diabetes in English. Joy encouraged those who have diabetes to go for their regular checkups, have a balanced diet and exercise daily. Grace Law interpreted for the audience in Cantonese. Free health checks were provided by the Nurse Operations Manager, Shirley He.

Dr Wai Man Chow -Consultant of Urology from NMGH, Chow was invited to be the main speaker. He used fluent Cantonese to describe in detail the signs and symptoms, causes and treatment of erectile dysfunction.

‘Hepatitis B Awareness, health talk was given in English by Charlotte Bowen from the British Liver Trust of Manchester in Kwok Man Restaurant. She explained the causes, signs and symptoms, and the routes of preventing Hepatitis B such as avoiding sharing needles with others and having protecting sex. She also explained the importance of being vaccinated to prevent being infected with Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) Shirley He interpreted for the audience in Cantonese. In total 51 people attended; among whom 39(76%) females and 12(24%) males attended.

中心在國民酒樓舉辦一項“乙型肝炎認知”講座。是日由曼城英國肝臟信託工負莎樂-寶雲用英語講解乙型肝炎的原因、症狀、傳染渠道及預防方法包括避免與人共用針筒及採取安全性行為。莎樂-寶雲鼓勵注射乙型肝炎疫苗可預防被感染乙型肝炎。由中心林姑娘為聽眾用廣東話傳譯。有12 (24%)位男仕及39 (76%)位女仕，共51人參加參加這次的講座。

The health talk was given in Cantonese by Shirley He, the Nurse Operations Manager of CHIC. Tips on eating healthily and healthy lifestyle were given. Foods low in salt, fat, sugar and MSG were recommended. She also encouraged the participants to do exercise every week to maintain their healthy weight.
