CHIC has received funding grant by the Canal & River Trust, to run a Ride Health Project until March 2023.The project will run a series of Canal Health walks, cycle sessions in a local athletic track to support people to learn to ride a bike and to organise a series of canal ride.
On Sat 24-09-2022 in the morning a group of 21 Chinese people from the Chinese Community in Manchester took part with joy in the cycling in the athletic track at Boggart Hole Clough Park. A trainer provided information on how to look after a bike and preliminary safety checks.
Later in the afternoon CHIC organised a Canal Ride along the Rochdale Canal Tow Path in Ancoats.14 people joined the ride with much joy & fun. It reminds them of many happy times in the past before settled on in the UK. Anyone interested please contact CHIC Shirley He 01611280138
