Dr Wai Man Chow -Consultant of Urology from NMGH, Chow was invited to be the main speaker. He used fluent Cantonese to describe in detail the signs and symptoms, causes and treatment of erectile dysfunction.

中心邀請到北曼域區普通科醫院的泌尿科外科顧問醫生-周偉文醫生主講。他用流利廣東話講解關於勃起障礙的原因、正狀及治療。

‘Hepatitis B Awareness, health talk was given in English by Charlotte Bowen from the British Liver Trust of Manchester in Kwok Man Restaurant. She explained the causes, signs and symptoms, and the routes of preventing Hepatitis B such as avoiding sharing needles with others and having protecting sex. She also explained the importance of being vaccinated to prevent being infected with Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) Shirley He interpreted for the audience in Cantonese. In total 51 people attended; among whom 39(76%) females and 12(24%) males attended.

中心在國民酒樓舉辦一項“乙型肝炎認知”講座。是日由曼城英國肝臟信託工負莎樂-寶雲用英語講解乙型肝炎的原因、症狀、傳染渠道及預防方法包括避免與人共用針筒及採取安全性行為。莎樂-寶雲鼓勵注射乙型肝炎疫苗可預防被感染乙型肝炎。由中心林姑娘為聽眾用廣東話傳譯。有12 (24%)位男仕及39 (76%)位女仕，共51人參加參加這次的講座。

The health talk was given in Cantonese by Shirley He, the Nurse Operations Manager of CHIC. Tips on eating healthily and healthy lifestyle were given. Foods low in salt, fat, sugar and MSG were recommended. She also encouraged the participants to do exercise every week to maintain their healthy weight.

是日由中心林姑娘用廣東話提供健康生活方式的秘袂包括低鹽、低脂肪、低糖及低味精的食物的重要性。她還鼓勵聽眾多做運動，保持健康的體重。

21st January 2013 Alzheimer health talk was given in English by Lora Baron from the Alzheimer’s Society Manchester. She explained the importance to aware of the early signs and symptoms of dementia and how to seek and access to help and support from the local and national Alzheimer’s society as well. Interpretation was provided by Shirley He (CHIC). Information in Chinese regarding dementia was distributed to audience in total 21 people attended.

2013年1月22日‘阿爾茨海默氏病’講座，共有22人參加。中心舉辦了“阿爾茨海默氏病”講座。是日由曼城老人痴呆恊會支援員-羅娜-巴倫用英語講解阿爾茨海默氏病的症狀及護理。由中心林姑娘為聽眾用廣東話傳譯。有4位男仕及18位女仕, 共有22人參。

Tips for winter talk on 20th November 2012, 17 people attended.

Shirley He gave the talk in Cantonese. She explained the importance of personal health and safety during the winter time. She stressed that the elderly should wear appropriate shoes to prevent falling over. Tips on warm clothing and healthy eating were included. 16 females and 1 male attended.
