19th May 2009, “NHS Bowel Screening Programme” health talk was given in English by two Project Workers: Audrey Howarth & Tara Davis, from the Public Health Development Service of Manchester PCT at the Wu Kau Tang Overseas Chinese Association. In house interpreting provided. With great success. The talk attracted 52 Chinese in Manchester and its surrounding areas.

19th March 2009, “Tips for constipation ” health talk to a group of people aged 65+ at Sheung Lok of the Wai Yin. Speaker: Shirley He(Nurse Operations Manager of CHIC). 57 people attended.

Visitors: 9th March 2009, Carole Cohen (left 2nd) and her colleagues from Reducing Inequality Team of Manchester NHS PCT visited CHIC and explained the “Check it Out” programme to members of the local Chinese community.

24th February 2009,“B/P & Stroke” health talk to a group of  people aged 65+ at Faulkner Court of Tung Sing Housing Association. Speaker:Shirley He (Nurse Operations Manager). 22 people attended.

16th February 2009, “Hepatitis Prevention” health talk was given in Mandarin by Dr. Lina Gan at the Yang Sing Restaurant. 21 people attended.
